On The Team

Its Cross Country Season here, the kids have to run 1500metres in the bush at least 3 times a week (rather them than me) Bob has really tried, this year, to finish every time, to keep going and to try and beat his personal best. He was rewarded by being chosen as one of the reserves for the Collie Schools Competion today. As he was not needed in the main races he ran in the reserves race at the end of the meet and HE BLITZED IT!

I was so proud, not just of the running (i never ran that far!) but of his amazing attitude and sportsmanship, he has come such a long way and not just in distance!

He amazes me and he is mine!!!

Some people may think that being a reserve is not such a big deal.
The big deal for Bob is being on the team.
Awesome!

Things....................

............ have been a little busy around here lately, just the usual ups and downs of family life really. We are all adjusting to the newness that is my job, it has been a bit disruptive and i think Toby has felt it the most although i am feeling the night shifts somewhat! He loves his routine so is missing my being there for every bedtime and also the time that we used to spend doing things together, i am learning to juggle the housework, cooking etc but work has cut into my week so i find myself doing chores where i used to be able to devote myself to the boys...but its all adjustments and we are all making them. Having said all that i am loving my job, i love the purpose it gives me and the social interaction, I love the money and the feeling of accomplishment that it brings, things that i now realise were missing in the last couple of years so I will learn to be a bit more prepared and i will leave the vacuuming if i have to so that no one feels short changed....then again, maybe housework is something that we can all do together now, then maybe things will settle down.
