I have been thinking about whether or not to write this post, but i feel the need to commit to memory the events of the past week so that we can look back on it as i know Toby will one day ask about this time in his life.
Toby and his classmates are now all 6 years old, the last two, Fletcher and Matthew, had their birthdays last week, they had parties with their friends from school, 14 classmates, all very close as they are such a small group, boys and girls all play together, happily, all the time, at home and at school.
Last week they all did the usual things that 6 year olds do, they went to school, being the last week of term they got to play alot, so they had fun, they made damper on a bonfire and saw a sheep being shorn at their schools "Australia Day", they sang and performed in the end of term assembley, the song "Triantiwontigongalope" made them all laugh and giggle....they are only six.
On Friday, the last day of term they watched a movie together at school, then as the day ended they said goodbye to their freind Kynan, he was moving to Bunbury and a new school.......they wished him well and were sad to see him go but knew they would see him when he came to visit his Grandma.
Sadly on Saturday morning Kynan and his little sister Temilee died in a horrible car accident on the coalfields highway.
He was only 6. She was just 2.
This has hit the whole community hard, especially the Year 1 Class at Allanson Primary.
Toby was very sad and remembered Kynan as his "always happy freind" and he was such a smiley, happy, beautiful boy.
Our hearts go out to their Mum, Dad, Sister and Grandparents, no words will ever be enough.
and the photos.....just to remember where we were at when this tragedy happened and how young 6 is.
TOO YOUNG
TOO YOUNG
